The scientific professional edition Ukrainian Antarctic Journal has been published since 2003 and deals with research on polar and high-mountain regions of the planet. UAJ is the successor to the Bulletin of the Ukrainian Antarctic Centre (1997 - 2002), ISSN 1681-0740. Scientific papers, short notes, and reviews are accepted for publication.
UAJ publishes fundamental and applied research materials with scientific and technical developments related to studying polar and high-mountain regions in Atmospheric Science, Biology, Ecology, Geosciences, Oceanography, and Administration of polar areas and polar engineering.

Co-founders of the Journal are the State Institution National Antarctic Scientific Center of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Institute of Geological Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, and National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.
