Анотація

Способи мічення китів описано в історичній послідовності. Дано опис міток різного типу й показано їх ефективність. Наведено карти міграцій промислових видів китів в Антарктиці та прилеглих водах, складених за результатами повернення міток. Визначено перспективи використання фотоідентифікації китів і радіоміток із супутниковим зв'язком, а також аналізу ДНК  на основі біопсії.
